Employment duties are the following for this Sales Position:
- Responding to all Placesetters Nantucket, LLC clients solicitations through email, phone, text and mail.
- Coordinating with ownership &/or general manager as well as Warehouse and work crew personnel in regards to scheduling for events. This entails loading proper equipment, building packing lists, setup times and breakdown times weeks before event dates.
- Making sure that all equipment ordered and reserved/paid for is in stock and available for scheduled event in a timely manner.
- Working with, hiring, and training with the Linen press, washer and dryer as well as organizing linens and party rentals.
- Responsible for constant communication with the ownership regarding estimates, invoices, payments, and company bills and expenses.
- Conducting site visits/consultations with clients or event coordinators to ensure that all Party Rentals and other necessary equipment is available and in stock. This may include photos, measurements, and then generating a quote.
- Constant communication with other management for available inventory and event dates.
- Ability to build quotes, turn into Invoices and collect payment for each clients events. Potentially including the help necessary for a transition from current software system (TBD) to a new software platform which would ensure all information is transferred over, photos aligned with each inventory item, and link from website order form to software system.
- Periodically working out of warehouse office as well as Center St Showroom office from April 1st to November 1st during the week & sometimes on weekends to ensure smooth load-ups and communication with crews, meeting with potential clients and Event coordinators.
- Onsite for certain events to make sure all equipment is setup and presentable.
- Weekly report Submitted with old and new business as well as all accounting matters to help you with organizing a work week, help you schedule a series of events, and ensure you have all the items you need for your clients. This would be helpful for the first few weeks of the season.
This job is more involved than office work and will have demanding hours and duties during busy seasons. This may include onsite meeting after hours/weekends, weekend work, and continuous weeks without days off are possible for this position during busy season with back to back to back weeks of setups and breakdowns. Working in this kind of environment requires a strong work ethic and superior organization skills and enthusiasm to achieve excellence for the company. If work week consistently exceeds 40 hours, we will revisit this agreement for additional compensation.
